From war to college

After finishing a year in Iraq I'm finally going to start college at the University of Missouri - Columbia. I've been accepted to start college in January. I so enjoyed doing my blog from Baghdad that I really wanted to do a new one for college. I hope you enjoy it...I think it's going to be an interesting four years!

It's been awhile

I just read an email from "Kim" asking me if I was ok, if I had been called back up, and to please post an update. Sorry it's been a really long time since my last post! I did start my first semester of college at the University of Missouri in Columbia and it went great. I got straight B's which was a little disappointing but not unexpected. A lot went on that really kept me from focusing enough on school. As some of you know I met a wonderful guy, Rick, while deployed last year. When we got back to the States we made a few visits back and forth from my home to his in Colorado. We really wanted to give the relationship a chance in the real world. Well things were better than ever! He went Active Duty and was stationed in Tennessee. During my semester at school I made a ton of trips down there and we ended up getting married March 31st. Two days after the wedding I had to rush back to make it to class on time, weird right? I finished out the semester and moved to Tennessee with him. Last week Rick deployed again and I have come full circle. I am back in Missouri and just signed up for classes at Columbia College. I am looking to at least get my A.A. knocked out while he's gone. Wish me luck...
